Leadership Excellence is often talked about in the workplace and is something most businesses strive to have exist in their organisation. However, the battle of being a great leader and getting the job done can still be viewed as one or the other. Like any behavioural change moving from a traditional management style to one of leadership takes time. James Robbins' book "Nine Minutes on Monday" has a great image of what is involved in being a great leader. The "three truths" in this diagram really underpin where good leadership can begin. I also think it offers opportunity to anyone currently managing a team, who is looking for better results for both themselves and their team, that it is possible to become an excellent leader. Leadership can be learned and perfected - it simply takes time and practice.
